Roofing Safety: Making Sure Our Team Meets Safety Standards
As a company offering services for Detroit roofing, windows, and siding, we at Kroll Construction understand that homeowners need more than just high quality services. When it comes to your property, you also need a team who can perform maintenance, repair, or replacement AND do it safely.
Any home improvement can be stressful for some property owners. At Kroll Construction, we don’t want you to worry about the ongoing work on your home or the safety of your family and our crew. To reduce your anxiety, we assure you that our company meets the guidelines of Fall Protection in Residential Construction set by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA®).
As credible roofing contractors in Detroit, we use a range of safety equipment, which may include personal fall arrest systems, safety nets, or guardrails. Depending on the type of work we’re doing, we may also use other fall protection devices. If we’re working on a low-sloped roof, we use safety monitoring systems and warning lines.
We may also use a fall restraint system in place of a personal fall arrest system. This may include a body belt or full body harness. Our roofers will attach it securely to an anchor point using a lanyard long enough to stop them from reaching the roof’s edge.
If the home improvement project may restrict our team in any way from using our conventional safety equipment, don’t worry. We will create a site-specific plan, as required by OSHA, and make sure it complies with the Fall Protection Guidelines.
The roof is an essential part of a house, which is why you should never take chances when it comes to its maintenance.
